It has already been said that Tortolì is geographically in an important position for exchanges from Sardinia towards the rest of the Italian peninsula and in general towards the whole European community.
Both airport that porto take their name from the Arbatax hamlet of the town and both were born in the 60s of the last century, mainly at the behest of the Arbatax paper mill, now closed.
The airport complex then passed into the hands of the Sardinia Region.
Both have peaks in attendance in the summer period even though they are operational throughout the year. The airport runway is 1500 meters long and guarantees safety and functionality for medium-small aircraft. The main routes are those with Roma and Milan in Italy, while numerous charter flights arrive abroad, especially from Germany.
Upon landing the view is wonderful because you will be just a few meters from the sea and a beautiful beach in Tortolì.
There is also a control tower and is conveniently connected to the rest of the city.
As regards the port, the main sea routes are those with nearby Genoa and Rome Civitavecchia.
