A 400 metri nell’;altopiano del Golgo si trova la più grande voragine d’;Europa con i suoi 270 metri d’;height, il nome “;Su Sterru”; derives from the Sardinian which means both excavation and descent.
L’;mouth is made of basalt rocks, then the internal walls are made of white limestone rock. The dimensions of the diameter are around 25 meters and then widen at the bottom and reach 40.
For its grandeur, the Golgo Voragine is surrounded by nuragic complexes, giants' tombs, Domus de Janas and wells for ancestral rites.
